How the run works

• The AM run starts at JF Kennedy Elementary and crosses town before the first residential stop.
• Down Pine St, across Bailey St, then north up Mechanic St the whole length.
• At the top, Howard St links Mechanic over to Rockland St.
• Turn west on Rockland for #31, then double back east past Howard for 125 Rockland. That short out-and-back is why Howard St is passed twice.
• Rockland runs through from Washington St to Mechanic St — it is not a dead end.

AM vs PM

• AM only: JF Kennedy Elementary (the 8:38 start) and Mechanic @ Rockland.
• The PM run leaves Luce at 3:25 and ends at 125 Rockland, 3:35 — ten minutes, no school-to-school leg.
• PM runs the neighbourhood in the same direction as AM — it is not the route reversed.
• 288 Mechanic and Mechanic @ Lehan sit about 33 m apart. Where two stops would overlap, the map nudges the dots apart and draws a hairline back to each one’s true position — zoom in and they settle onto their real spots.

Before you rely on it

Times are the district’s own, taken from its 2026–27 sheets, not estimates: Luce AM (PDF) and Luce PM (PDF).

Stop positions and the drawn line are still mine: geocoded from OpenStreetMap, with the shortest legal driving route between stops. That is not the district’s turn sheet, and the school connector legs are the least certain part — several routes of similar length exist. The in-neighbourhood legs are unambiguous; there is only one way along Mechanic and Rockland.

The posted 8:38 → 8:41 hop from JF Kennedy to 19 Pine covers about 2.5 miles in three minutes. Treat the school-to-school timing as nominal.
